| Obverse description | Red-brown intaglio on multicolour underprint. A vignette of Alexander the Great appears at left, with a central guilloche-framed scene of Hercules in combat occupying the middle register; a classical marble frieze runs along the lower border. The face value and issuer legends are rendered in Greek script, with the date of issue and governor's signature block at lower centre. |
