| 备注 |
Greece's postwar monetary situation was dire enough that the government bypassed the Bank of Greece entirely for this series — issuing notes directly through the Ministry of Finance, an unusual arrangement reflecting how thoroughly the German occupation and subsequent civil war had compromised normal institutional authority. The 1944 hyperinflation had been catastrophic, requiring a redenomination at 50 billion old drachmai to one new drachma, and public confidence in paper currency remained fragile well into the early 1950s.
The state printing facility at Holargos — established in 1947 — handled production domestically, a deliberate move toward self-sufficiency after years of dependence on foreign printers.
