| Reverse description | A central oval guilloche vignette contains an intaglio rendering of the ancient Lion of Amphipolis statue, shown seated in profile on a stepped pedestal, with the inscription ΛΕΩΝ ΑΜΦΙΠΟΛΕΩΣ inscribed on the base. Large denomination numerals '1000' within circular guilloche rosettes occupy the left and right fields against a pale olive-green underprint. The legend ΕΚΔΟΣΙΣ ΤΕΤΑΡΤΗ (Fourth Issue) appears in a cartouche along the lower margin. |
