Aanvullende informatie

Sir Jackie Stewart won three Formula One World Championships (1969, 1971, 1973) and retired abruptly after the 1973 season following the death of his teammate François Cevert at Watkins Glen — a circuit Stewart refused to race on that day. His post-racing career as a safety advocate is credited with transforming circuit design and medical response standards across the sport. This kilo gold issue from the Solomon Islands belongs to a well-worn category of Pacific island numismatic releases that have no economic relationship to their issuing territory.
