Beschrijving keerzijde A finely detailed rabbit in high relief occupies the central field, depicted in a resting pose facing left, with a smaller rabbit partially visible to its upper left alongside a decorative bundle of cabbages or vegetables. The Chinese character 兔 (Rabbit) appears in a stylized seal script above, accompanied by the Perth Mint's P mintmark to the left. The curved legend YEAR OF THE RABBIT arcs along the lower field in Latin script. The overall composition reflects the Lunar Series II design tradition of the Perth Mint, combining Western naturalistic artistry with traditional Chinese zodiac iconography.

Aanvullende informatie

The 2011 Year of the Rabbit is the third installment in Perth Mint's second Lunar Series, which launched in 2008 after the original Lunar Series I concluded. At this weight — a full troy kilogram — production tolerances are unforgiving, and Perth's reputation for hitting .9999 fineness consistently on large-format bullion was still relatively new ground at the time of striking. Mintage for this denomination was capped at 300 pieces worldwide.
