THE Dominion of Canada WILL PAY $1000 One Thousand Dollars ON DEMAND TO BEARER, BEING A BANK TO WHICH 'THE BANK ACT' OF CANADA APPLIES ON THE CONDITIONS MENTIONED BELOW, AT THE OFFICE OF ANY ASSISTANT RECEIVER GENERAL OF CANADA. Reverse description Printed entirely in green, the reverse is dominated by three large guilloche rosettes each incorporating the numeral 1000, arranged horizontally across the centre of the note. An elaborate architectural vignette of a classical building runs across the upper portion, framed by dense lathe-work borders and foliate scroll ornaments at each corner. The legends 'DOMINION OF CANADA' and 'One Thousand Dollars' appear in the central and lower fields respectively.
