| 备注 |
Liberia's currency history is bound up with its relationship to the US dollar, which circulated alongside the Liberian dollar for decades under a dual-currency arrangement that only began unwinding seriously in the late 2010s. The $1,000 Liberian denomination — worth roughly $5 USD at time of issue — reflects the sustained devaluation that made high-denomination notes operationally necessary for everyday transactions.
P#43 is a relatively recent emission, printed on cotton substrate with a security thread and watermark but without the more advanced optical features found on contemporaneous issues from neighboring central banks. Functional rather than technically ambitious.
