The denomination 1000 DOBRAS appears below the central cartouche, within the pentagon. The peripheral legend REPÚBLICA DEMOCRÁTICA DE S. TOMÉ E PRÍNCIPE curves along the upper rim, while the date 1998, flanked by two stars, is positioned at the base of the coin in the lower field. |
