| 备注 |
Student dormitory scrip from socialist Yugoslavia occupies a peculiar niche — these notes were issued by individual university housing collectives to facilitate meals, laundry, and canteen purchases within closed campus economies, bypassing the national banking system entirely. The Dobrica Stambolić dormitory in Niš named itself after a Serbian communist official, a common institutional practice of the period.
By 1988, Yugoslavia's inflation was accelerating toward hyperinflationary collapse, which gives dormitory-issued scrip of this vintage an unintended economic dimension — the purchasing power of 1,000 dinara was eroding fast enough that these tokens were likely reissued or repriced within months.
