Opmerkingen

Petrolunion was a Yugoslav oil company, and this 1000 Dinara note is a corporate scrip token — not a banknote in any central banking sense. Yugoslavia's hyperinflationary collapse in the early 1990s made cash chronically scarce at the retail level, prompting state enterprises, municipalities, and cooperatives to issue their own emergency payment vouchers. These circulated locally, accepted by affiliated petrol stations and company stores as a workaround when federal dinar notes simply weren't available in sufficient quantity.

ZIN printed it — the same Belgrade facility that produced official Yugoslav federal currency — which gives the piece a technical finish unusual for corporate scrip.
