| Obverse description | Central vignette shows a portrait of Queen Maria Karađorđević (Queen of Yugoslavia 1922–1934, born Princess Maria of Romania), wearing a royal diadem, a purple dress with a red ribbon over her right shoulder, and a pearl necklace; a watermark area with a crown above occupies the centre of the note. To the right, an eagle in flight is rendered over a pale underprint of a coniferous forest, while allegorical vignettes of ears of wheat, corn, grapevine, and other fruits frame the composition as symbols of abundance. A black oval handstamp reading VERIFICATO (Italian: verified) was applied during the Italian occupation of Montenegro in 1941. |

| Reverse description | Two allegorical female figures in white dresses and veils flank the central design: the figure at left holds a sheaf of wheat and a sickle, representing agriculture and labour, while the figure at right holds a sword and a shield bearing the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, symbolising security and justice; each figure also holds a twig, olive at left and laurel at right. At centre below the watermark zone, a double-headed white eagle with spread wings carries the Yugoslav royal coat of arms on its breast, surrounded by a guilloche border with vignettes of grapevine, apples, and flowers. |
