| Obverse description | At centre, a standing male figure in classical style holds a small bird aloft in his right hand and rests his left hand on a tall paddle or oar, evoking the athletic and allegorical spirit of the canoeing championships. To the left of the central figure, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia state emblem — a torch flanked by wheat sheaves bound with a ribbon bearing the date 29·XI·1943, surmounted by a five-pointed star — occupies the mid-field. The denomination 1000 appears in large numerals at the lower centre, with the trilingual inscription ДИНАРА · DINARA · DINARJEV · ДИНАРИ below.
