Opmerkingen

Bosnia's National Bank was established by emergency decree in January 1992, months before independence was internationally recognized and while the Yugoslav monetary system was still nominally in force. These early high-denomination notes were issued into an economy already fracturing along ethnic lines, with supply chains disrupted and the dinar facing ruinous inflation across the entire former federation — not a Bosnian problem alone, but one the new institution had no tools to solve.

The P#8 series was short-lived. By 1993 the situation had deteriorated beyond any ordinary monetary response, and denominations would climb into the millions before the convertible marka finally replaced the Bosnian dinar in 1998.
