Obverse description	The obverse is dominated by an elaborate multicolour guilloche pattern in green, pink, and blue radiating from a central vignette bearing the large numeral '1000' in white relief against the interlaced latticework. The issuing authority's name appears in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts in the upper right, with the governor's signature below it and the date '15. AUGUST · KOLOVOZ 1994 GODINE' to the right. The denomination in all three official languages appears in the lower portion, flanked by a small fleur-de-lis ornament, with a secondary denomination numeral '1000' in the lower right corner.

The coat of arms of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina appears at the left, beside the serial number printed vertically in blue. The denomination inscriptions in all three official languages are repeated in the lower right, and the numeral '1000' is placed in the lower left.
