正面描述 The face is dominated by a large numeral '1000' set against an intricate guilloche underprint incorporating repeated fleur-de-lis motifs across the entire field. The national arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina appear at upper right, accompanied by the bank name in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, a governor's signature, and the date '1. KOLOVOZ - AVGUST 1992'. The denomination is stated in three languages in the lower portion — Croatian, Serbian Cyrillic, and Bosnian.

备注

Oslobođenje — the Sarajevo newspaper and printing house whose name translates simply as "Liberation" — was producing this note while its own building was under near-constant artillery fire. The Štamparija Oslobođenje became one of the few functioning presses inside the besieged city after the siege began in April 1992, and the National Bank had little choice but to use it. The result is a note born entirely of wartime improvisation, printed under active bombardment by a workforce that famously refused to stop operating throughout the longest city siege in modern European warfare.

Production quality varies noticeably across the run.
