1000 Dīnār - Moẓaffar od-Dīn Qājār

Mozaffar od-Din Shah signed Iran's constitutional decree in August 1906, just months before his death — making coins of his final years contemporary with the revolutionary pressure that would fundamentally restructure Persian sovereignty. He had borrowed heavily from Russia and Britain to fund European travel, and the resulting debt was a direct accelerant of the Constitutional Revolution.

KM#978 was struck at the Tehran mint during a period when the Qājār monetary system was already under strain from inconsistent minting standards across provincial facilities.
