Obverse description Uniformed bust of Mozaffar al-Din Shah Qajar facing slightly left, wearing the distinctive tall Qajar crown adorned with a jewelled aigrette and feather plume. The Shah is depicted with a prominent moustache and military dress uniform visible at the truncation. The effigy is flanked on both sides by decorative floral and foliate sprays. A circular Persian legend arcs across the upper field, and the regnal year 1319 (AH) appears in Eastern Arabic numerals at the bottom of the design, above a beaded border.
