| Beschrijving voorzijde | At center-left, a portrait vignette of educator Anísio Spínola Teixeira (1900–1971) is rendered in intaglio against a multicolor guilloche underprint. To the right, a partial architectural view of the Escola Parque building — part of the Carneiro Ribeiro Educational Center in Salvador, designed by architect Diógenes Rebouças under Teixeira's direction — serves as a secondary vignette. Denominations and issuer inscriptions appear in the upper and lower panels, with the legend DEUS SEJA LOUVADO incorporated into the design. |

| Opmerkingen |
The Cruzeiro Real was a transitional currency, introduced in August 1993 as Brazil lurched through its fourth monetary unit in under a decade. It lasted barely a year before the Plano Real replaced it in July 1994 — the reform that finally broke the hyperinflationary cycle that had been eroding purchasing power since the mid-1980s. A 1000-unit denomination that would have seemed large at issue was already functionally modest within months of printing.
The relatively modest print run of just over 12 million notes reflects the currency's brief window of use rather than any limited-issue intention.
