正面描述 At left, a large circular guilloche vignette surrounds a five-pointed star, with the denomination ¢1000 inscribed below in bold numerals. The centre field carries a cursive statutory authority legend over a Governor's manuscript signature, flanked by intricate lathe-work underprint. The issuer's name BANK OF GHANA appears in letterpress across the top, with the denomination ONE THOUSAND CEDIS in large serif capitals at lower centre-right.

备注

Ghana's 1965 high-denomination notes were issued under Kwame Nkrumah's government in the months before his February 1966 overthrow in a military coup. The National Liberation Council that replaced him immediately set about demonetizing certain issues as a means of severing symbolic ties to the Nkrumah administration, which significantly disrupted circulation and survival rates for notes from this period.

Bradbury Wilkinson had a long relationship with West African issuers, and their New Malden facility produced much of the anglophone region's currency through the 1960s. The P#9A designation indicates a variety within the series — likely a signature combination change rather than a redesign.
