| Obverse description | Red and yellow intaglio printing on a light underprint; a vignette of Simón Bolívar after the portrait by Antonio Salas (1825) occupies the left portion, set against a background with a book motif. The issuer name is printed along the lower margin, with the face value expressed in numerals at center and in all four corners, and in full letters along the upper border; two serial numbers appear — one in black at upper right and one in blue at lower left — flanking a watermark zone at right and a perfect-match security device at upper right. Signature lines with official titles and the issue date are positioned centrally between the numeral denomination and the issuer inscription. |
