Beschrijving keerzijde At center, a naturalistic depiction of a White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) stands in profile facing left, perched with talons gripping the ground, its plumage rendered in fine engraved detail. To the upper left of the eagle, a curved branch or feather motif extends across the field. The fineness designation 9999 appears to the right of the eagle in the field. The inscription 1/4 UNCJI CZYSTEGO ZŁOTA, indicating one-quarter ounce of pure gold, is displayed in three lines to the lower left, with the engraver's initials AR visible at lower right. Aanvullende informatie

Mennica Polska launched this bullion series in 1995 as part of a broader push by the Polish state to establish a domestic gold investment product — the country had only recently returned to open currency markets following the end of communist-era restrictions on private gold ownership. Annual mintages have remained modest by international bullion standards, keeping secondary market premiums higher than comparable Austrian or Canadian issues of the same period.
