| Obverse description | Central device features the crowned Polish eagle of the People's Republic, rendered with spread wings, talons gripping the lower field, and a shield on its breast, in high relief against a smooth field. The date 1976 is divided on either side of the eagle's body, with the mint mark MW below. The denomination 100 flanked by the abbreviation ZŁ on each side appears in large numerals along the lower portion of the field. The circular legend POLSKA • RZECZPOSPOLITA • LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery, engraved by Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt. |
