Reverse description The reverse presents conjoined busts of Duke Mieszko I and his consort Dąbrówka facing right in high relief, both wearing period royal attire with detailed ornamentation on their garments. The denomination STO ZŁOTYCH appears in large letters across the upper field, with the numeral 100 flanking the effigies on both sides. The word PRÓBA (meaning 'trial' or 'pattern') is inscribed in small letters to the right of the busts, confirming the piece's status as a trial strike. The names MIESZKO I and DĄBRÓWKA are inscribed along the lower border, separated by a cross, commemorating the founding couple of the Polish state and the millennium of Christianity in Poland. The sculptural modelling is attributed to engraver Józef Gosławski and displays a refined, medallic quality consistent with his known work.
