Additional information

The 100 Złotych Kopernik pieces of 1925 were pattern and trial strikes produced as Poland worked to establish a stable coinage following the catastrophic hyperinflation that had destroyed the Polish mark — by 1923, exchange rates had collapsed to roughly 6.4 million marks to the dollar. This smaller-diameter silver trial was never approved for circulation; the denomination itself was abandoned before any 100 Złotych coin entered general use.
