Reverse description A three-quarter facing portrait bust of Władysław III Warneńczyk, King of Poland (1434–1444), depicted in medieval royal attire with a decorative brooch or clasp at the chest and shoulder-length hair. The legend 'WŁADYSŁAW III' arcs along the upper left periphery and 'WARNEŃCZYK' along the upper right, forming a continuous inscription around the upper field. The regnal years '1434' and '1444' are inscribed in two lines to the left of the portrait, denoting the beginning and end of his reign. The engraver's mark appears in the lower right field. The portrait is executed in a refined, medallic relief style consistent with Polish commemorative gold coinage of the period.
