Reverse description A draped bust of King Władysław II Jagiełło facing slightly left, wearing an ornate crown with fleur-de-lis terminals, depicted in a medieval portrait style evoking Gothic manuscript illumination. The king's mantle is shown over his shoulders and he holds a heraldic shield bearing the Jagiellonian dynastic arms in the lower field. The legend WŁADYSŁAW II JAGIEŁŁO is inscribed in Gothic-style lettering arcing around the upper periphery, flanking the portrait at left and right. The regnal dates 1386 and 1434, denoting the beginning and end of his reign as King of Poland, appear in two lines at lower right. A designer's monogram is visible at the lower right of the design.
