背面描述	The reverse presents a finely engraved portrait bust of Queen Jadwiga (Hedwig I of Poland) facing slightly to the right, depicted wearing an elaborate royal crown adorned with fleur-de-lis finials, a pearl necklace, and a richly ornamented robe with a decorative clasp at the chest bearing the Polish eagle. To the left of the effigy, a Gothic candelabrum or sceptre-like object is visible in the field. The curved legend JADWIGA 1384-1399 arcs along the upper periphery, denoting her regnal name and years of reign. The word PRÓBA, indicating trial or pattern status, appears in the right field.

Trial strikes for this type exist in multiple metal variants, suggesting the mint at Warsaw was testing compositions before settling on the final issue. The Jadwiga pieces in particular attracted foreign collector interest given her significance as Poland's first female monarch, crowned in 1384.
