| Obverse description | The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle with wings spread, rendered in the socialist-era style of the Polish People's Republic, occupying the central field. The date 1978 is divided on either side of the eagle's body, with '19' to the left and '78' to the right. The denomination '100' appears prominently in large numerals at the bottom of the field, flanked by the currency abbreviation 'ZŁ' on each side.
