Obverse description The obverse features a detailed frontal view of the neoclassical facade of the Constitutional Tribunal building in Warsaw, rendered in fine relief against a polished field accented with decorative cloud-like flourishes. Above the building, the Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings displayed — is prominently positioned at center. The denomination '100 ZŁ' appears in the lower field beneath the architectural motif. The curved legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' runs along the upper left periphery, with the mint year '2010' and the mint mark 'MW' positioned to the right.

Additional information

Poland's Constitutional Tribunal was established in 1985, a paradox worth noting: a nominally independent constitutional review body created while the country was still under communist rule, where the Sejm retained the power to overturn its rulings by a two-thirds majority. That arrangement rendered the Tribunal largely decorative until 1997, when the new post-communist constitution finally granted it binding authority. The 25th anniversary this coin marks falls squarely on that complicated institutional history.
