Obverse description The right half of the note is occupied by an intaglio vignette of the Renaissance Town Hall of Poznań, rendered in brown on a multicolour guilloche underprint in orange and teal. To the left, a large ornate rosette guilloche pattern with a blank centre serves as the watermark area, flanked by the Polish eagle emblem and two signature lines with the date WARSZAWA 1 MARCA 1990. The denomination numeral 100 appears in large letterpress print at both left and right edges, with the title STO ZŁOTYCH and issuer name NARODOWY BANK POLSKI across the lower register.

Reverse description The central motif is a large circular vignette of the medieval seal of the city of Poznań, rendered in orange-brown intaglio with a heraldic eagle within the seal disc, surrounded by an elaborate teal guilloche frame of interlocking foliate scrollwork. A blank oval guilloche rosette to the right serves as the watermark field, with the NBP monogram in teal script alongside. The denomination 100 ZŁOTYCH appears in the upper right and lower left corners, with NARODOWY BANK POLSKI along the bottom margin.
