| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is executed in deep red-brown on a cream ground and presents a central rectangular intaglio vignette of a group of horses grazing in an open landscape under a clouded sky. The denomination "STO ZŁOTYCH" is set in bold letterpress at the top centre, flanked by oval guilloche medallions with "100" at each corner. A legal tender inscription in two columns at the bottom centre surrounds the circular NBP monogram medallion. |

Poland's postwar monetary reconstruction moved fast and messily. The 1944–1947 period saw multiple overlapping emissions as the new communist-aligned government worked to absorb and delegitimize currency issued under the London-backed exile government and the German occupation administrations. This note belongs to the early NBP series that formally consolidated that process — a political act dressed as routine central banking.
The watermark is the sole security feature, reflecting both the damaged state of Polish industrial infrastructure in 1947 and the relative ease with which earlier wartime issues had been counterfeited. Printing quality across this series is inconsistent enough that ink intensity and registration vary noticeably between confirmed genuine examples.
