| Obverse description | Within a raised inner circle, a detailed rendering of the Wu Pavilion Bridge (五亭桥, Wuting Qiao) of Yangzhou, depicted rising from stylized water with its characteristic five pavilions featuring upswept tiled roofs and three arched openings at the base. The inscription 扬州五亭桥 appears in the lower right field within the circle. The legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs around the upper periphery of the scalloped border, with the date 2000 inscribed at the base below the inner circle. |
