| 备注 |
Pick 806 is one of the foundational issues of the People's Bank of China, authorized in December 1948 — the same month the bank itself was formally established — as part of the monetary unification effort that replaced the fragmented currencies of Communist-controlled regions with a single renminbi. The Nationalist government's hyperinflation had by that point rendered the gold yuan essentially worthless, which gave the new currency an easier entry into circulation than it might otherwise have had.
The word "Replica" in the catalog name warrants caution. Authorized reproductions of early PRC notes circulate widely in the collector market; these are legal under Chinese law when marked accordingly, but the markings are sometimes faint or placed where they can be trimmed.
