正面描述 A detailed frontal view of the Putuoshan Chaosheng Gate (普陀山朝圣门), the sacred pilgrimage entrance gate of Putuo Mountain, rendered in fine relief against a mirror-polished field. The triple-arched ceremonial gateway is depicted with characteristic upswept tiled roofs, flanking pavilions, and guardian lion statues at the base. The curved Chinese legend 中华人民共和国 arcs across the upper field, and the inscription 普陀山朝圣门 appears to the lower right of the gate. The date 2004 is positioned in the lower exergue.

附加信息

China's platinum Kuan Yin series ran from 1990 through the mid-2000s, issued by the People's Bank of China in fractional sizes aimed squarely at the international bullion collector market rather than domestic circulation. The 2004 issue was among the final releases before the series was quietly discontinued — platinum premiums had climbed sharply enough that sustaining the program at these fractional weights became commercially awkward for the mint.

Mintage figures for this date remain poorly documented in Western reference literature, which itself reflects how thinly these pieces distributed outside specialist Chinese numismatic channels.
