Aanvullende informatie

The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was established on March 5, 1958, carved out of Guangxi Province as part of Beijing's national minority autonomy framework — a policy as much about administrative control as cultural recognition. The Zhuang remain China's largest officially designated ethnic minority, numbering over 18 million.

This 2018 commemorative marks the 60th anniversary of that founding. The People's Bank of China issued it in a limited mintage series alongside a silver companion piece, both produced at the Shenzhen Guobao Mint.
