| Obverse description | The face is dominated by an intricate guilloche underprint in olive-green and pink tones, with the large Chinese denomination characters 壹百圓 (One Hundred Yuan) rendered in bold intaglio at centre. Two oval blank panels flank the central legend, intended for serial number placement, with 上海 (Shanghai) inscribed at each corner. Red seal impressions and the bank title 中央銀行 appear at top centre, with a cartouche at lower centre carrying the promise-to-pay text and the Republican year designation. |
