| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by two large circular guilloche medallions at left and right, each bearing the numeral '100' at centre, surrounded by concentric fine-line lathe-work. A central guilloche rosette connects the two medallions, above which a banner carries the English inscription 'THE CENTRAL BANK OF CHINA' and below it a second banner reads 'ONE HUNDRED YUAN'. Two facsimile signatures appear across the centre, with the year '1944' in a cartouche at the bottom. The overall design is executed entirely in blue intaglio on an unadorned field. |
