Beschrijving voorzijde	Vertical format note in brown tones. Central oval vignette contains a bust portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen facing slightly left, framed within an ornate cartouche with decorative scroll guilloche work. The denomination 壹百圓 (One Hundred Yuan) is set in a shaped panel below the portrait, with serial number and issuer inscription 台灣銀行 at the top, and the Republic of China year inscription along the lower margin.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Vertical format reverse in brown tones. Upper portion carries a detailed intaglio vignette of the Bank of Taiwan building in three-quarter perspective view. Below, a bold numeral 100 overprints an outline map of Taiwan island, with the English inscription ONE HUNDRED YUAN on a ribbon across the centre of the map. Corner numerals 100 appear at all four angles within the guilloche border, and the date 1949 is set in a cartouche at the base.
