Reverse description The dominant central motif is the large numeral '100' in bold, slightly outlined figures occupying the majority of the field, set within a raised circular border. The legend TOKYO 1964 arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters, flanked at its apex by a small stylised laurel sprig. Along the lower portion of the field, the Japanese imperial era inscription 昭和39年 (Year 39 of the Shōwa era) is arranged horizontally in two rows. The entire design is framed by a beaded inner border and a reeded rim.
