Beschrijving voorzijde Central vignette is a portrait of King Sejong the Great (1397–1450), the fourth monarch of the Joseon Dynasty who reigned from 1418 to 1450 and is celebrated as the creator of the Korean Hangeul script. The portrait is rendered in intaglio and set within a guilloche underprint. Issuer name and denomination inscriptions appear in Korean characters flanking the central design.

Beschrijving keerzijde A detailed intaglio vignette of the Bank of Korea's main headquarters building occupies the left and centre of the note, rendered with fine architectural detail including its neoclassical domed towers, colonnaded entrance, and surrounding grounds with trees. The overall design is printed in green on a lightly toned paper ground, with scrollwork borders framing the composition.
