| Obverse description | A large intaglio vignette of an elephant occupies the right portion of the note, while a circular vignette at left centre shows the Bank of Ethiopia building in Addis Ababa. At upper centre, a lion of Judah vignette is set within an ornate guilloche frame, flanked by the bank name in Latin script and Ge'ez Ethiopic characters. The serial number and manuscript date appear in the central field above the denomination cartouche, with a Governor's signature below. |
