正面描述 Central field features the emblem of the National Bank of Kazakhstan — a stylized sun motif — flanked by decorative parallel curved lines suggesting speed and motion. The denomination '100 TENGE' is inscribed in two lines to the left of center, with 'Ag 925 31.1g' below and the date '2011' to the right. The legend 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ' (National Bank of Kazakhstan) arcs along the upper periphery in Cyrillic script. The overall design is rendered in polished proof finish with frosted devices against a mirror field.

附加信息

Kazakhstan first competed as an independent nation at the Winter Olympics in 1994, two years after the Soviet dissolution, and by 2014 had built a competitive program concentrated in cross-country skiing and biathlon. This issue was part of a broader commemorative program the National Bank produced in the lead-up to Sochi — struck three years before the games themselves, which was not unusual for pre-event Olympic series where mint allocations and distribution windows are planned well in advance.
