| Obverse description | The central field bears the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan in high relief. Encircling the emblem is a bilingual legend reading ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ in Cyrillic above and REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN in Latin below. The denomination 100 ТЕҢГЕ is inscribed at the lower portion of the field. Kazakhstan joined the United Nations on March 2, 1992 — just weeks after declaring independence from the Soviet Union in December 1991. The commemorative marks the 30th anniversary of that accession, which came as part of a wave of post-Soviet admissions that expanded UN membership by more than a dozen states within a single year.
