Comments

Bangladesh Bank's first 100 Taka issue appeared within months of independence, making it one of the earliest instruments of the new state's monetary apparatus. Thomas De La Rue handled the printing in London — a common arrangement for newly independent nations that lacked domestic security printing infrastructure and needed internationally credible notes quickly.

Pick 12 is scarce in any grade. The 1972 issues circulated hard through an economy devastated by the Liberation War, and few examples survived without significant wear or damage from the humid climate.
