Reverse description Printed in deep purple on a finely engraved guilloche underprint, the reverse is dominated by a large central vignette of the Ecuadorian national arms — an oval cartouche with Chimborazo and a steamship, surmounted by a condor with spread wings and flanked by crossed fasces — set within an elaborate scrollwork frame. Large numeral '100' panels appear at left and right, each surrounded by intricate lathe-work, with the denomination 'CIEN SUCRES' in bold serif lettering across the lower border and 'BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR' in a scroll banner at the top.
