备注

By 1980, Ecuador's 100 Sucre note had been a fixture of the ABNC's production line for decades — the basic plate architecture for this series dates back to the 1940s, making this late issue a remarkably long-lived design by any standard. The American Bank Note Company's relationship with Banco Central del Ecuador was one of its most durable Latin American contracts.

The sucre itself would survive until 2000, when dollarization wiped out the entire currency following one of the most severe banking collapses in Ecuadorian history. Notes from 1980 predate the hyperinflationary spiral of the late 1980s and 1990s by enough margin that they circulated in a relatively stable monetary environment — a condition that would not last.
