Obverse description The face is printed in rose and grey tones over an elaborate guilloche underprint, centred on a vignette of two allegorical female figures flanking a large numeral '100'. The bank title 'EL BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR / SOCIEDAD ANONIMA' and the capitalisation notice 'CAPITAL AUTORIZADO 10,000,000 Sucres' occupy the upper field, while the place of issue 'Quito' appears at lower left and the denomination 'CIEN SUCRES' is contained within a decorative panel at the foot. Serial numbers and series letters are positioned to either side of the central vignette.
