Descrizione del dritto	At centre, an intaglio portrait of Abu Ibrohim Ismoili ibni Ahmad Somonī (849–907), founder of the Samanid state and emir of Transoxiana and Khorasan, is set against a multicolour guilloche underprint. To the left, the Mausoleum of Ismoili Somonī in Bukhara is rendered in fine intaglio line engraving. Tajik Cyrillic inscriptions along the upper and lower margins identify the issuing authority and the denomination.

Descrizione del rovescio	The central vignette presents the Kohi Navruz (Navruz Palace) in Dushanbe in fine intaglio line work, with the ornate facade and surrounding grounds rendered in detail. The numeral "100" appears on both the left and right flanks of the central design, while the national flag of Tajikistan is printed in colour in the upper right corner. A cautionary anti-counterfeiting text in Tajik Cyrillic and English runs along the lower right margin in red and green.
