| 背面描述 | A stylized chrysanthemum bloom with long radiating petals and a prominent stem with leaves is depicted to the right of the central field, rendered in fine relief. The denomination 100 soles de oro is inscribed in three lines to the left of the flower. A small mint mark appears in the exergue below the floral motif. The circular legend CONMEMORACION DEL CENTENARIO DEL INTERCAMBIO COMERCIAL PERUANO-JAPONES runs along the full periphery, all within a raised border. |

Peru and Japan formalized a bilateral cooperation agreement in 1973, and this commemorative was struck specifically to mark the occasion. Japanese immigration to Peru had begun in 1899, and by the early 1970s the Nikkei-Peruvian community numbered well over 50,000 — one of the largest Japanese diaspora populations in Latin America.
The .800 fineness is characteristic of Peruvian commemorative silver of this period, a step below sterling but consistent across the BCR's output through the decade.
