Obverse description Black intaglio print on light blue and multicolor guilloche underprint. A vignette at center depicts Liberty seated, holding a shield and staff. The denomination and issuing authority appear in the surrounding border inscriptions.

(Translation: Central Reserve Bank of Peru will pay to the bearer One hundred Soles de Oro (Golden suns) As per the Law # 13,958)
Reverse description Printed in dark purple on an elaborate guilloche underprint, the reverse is dominated by a central oval vignette containing the Peruvian national arms, flanked by large numeral 100 counters at left and right and repeated smaller corner numerals. The issuing authority title arcs across the top and the denomination inscription appears at the foot, with the printer's imprint below.
